In which I meet a mermaiden

Not often do you get to meet a mermaiden (old fashioned term; I love it), but when you do, you want to be one too!
AND I always need thank you cards in my box.

At the weekend I went to  a local craft show and bought some new stuff, some of which I have had a play with here.  She is stamped on a scrap of previously smooshed card, and touched up with Copics, and Lyra crayons.  What fun.
I had this stamp for a very long time and never found occasion to use it … until now.

Watercolour paper
Stencil: Darkroom door (new)
Oxide Distress Sprays (new)
Sparkly stuff: Imagine If - opal dust (new)
Mermaid & Octopus stamps: Hampton Art
Sentiment stamp: Stampers Anonymous
Cosmic Glitter Metallic Gilding polish (stencil)
Lyra Watercolour Crayons
Lindys sugar mist
Copics, Distress ink
Also: white acrylic paint, gauze

This one shows her sparkly scales.

I'm sure you have all heard the saying:

Be yourself ... unless you can be a mermaid, then always be a mermaid!

  2. WOW Carol this is stunning - you look as though you have had fun with your new goodies... I have not opened mine yet - long story, but I am not taking my new goodies to the studio until it is re-organised, as a 'carrot' for me to get and do it once the family 'stuff' out there has gone...
