jAVA jIVE

Another experiment, this time using my new dylusions colours.  I love these bright colours (I only have four colours at present) and even used in an old diary, they perform well.  I found they are quite plasticky and don't wet/destroy the paper, however they do seem to retain a slight wet look.  I tried to preserve some of the features of the diary page, such as the word 'gratitude'.



I used stamps, and white, black, blue and gold pens.  I tore the words to the song - Java Jive by Manhattan Transfer - and partly covered them with watered down paint.  Items used to apply paint were spatula, edge of card, splatter, scrunched baking paper, bubble wrap, brushes, and fingers.  I like this little feature cup but it didn't show up enough stamped directly and painted so I simply stamped it on card and cut it out.  I wanted this sweet little mug to be the star without being in your face.
