Watercolour paint.
I used lots of layers of paint and colours to make a background. I really like simple cards and this one is so serene. The card is watercolour cold pressed paper, so has lots of lovely rough texture to grab the paint.

Your background reminds me of a shoreline with the horizon in the distance,the stars and sentiment look fabulous against it
