For our New Zealand cardswap group this month the topic is stamp etching (see Splitcoast Stampers). I experimented with black etching and then with this white etching. I think I like the white better. I used very watery water colours because I wanted the background to show through a bit and look sheer. Here is a pic of the stamp without the etching:
