Workspace quarterly:  My home office cupboard:

Out of the Blue: 

Starts with B:  Buttons button buttons!  I inherited this huge jar from my friend Lynn, every time I see it I remember the happy times we spent stitching together.  I like the old jar too.

Apple:  Before and after.  I like the lone apple framed like this.

Your choice:  We have been hanging out for some rain to relieve the drought, and we finally got 4mm last week.  Better than nothing (and better than the little sprinkle the week before which did nothing) and it's amazing how quickly things perk up in the garden.  We have a bit more rain forecast for this week YAY.

Sudsy Stitches

 

The theme is anything goes/stitched.  This time there is machine stitching around the edge and zigzagged across the metallic washi tape, and some faux stitching on the diecut panel.  I used an EF for the background swiped with Versamark and then Distress EP, and also dipped the edges of the panel in too.  I quite like this monochrome look and the texture of the distress EP is fun..

This week the prompts were:  Selfie, Covered, Beneath, Among, Choose anything monthly

Selfie: Not good at taking selfies.

Covered:  I found this bench (outside a shop) covered with amazing, colourful knitted pieces.

Beneath: Finally some caterpillars turned into chrysalis - now there are five.  With more caterpillars on the bush, hopefully more chrysalis before the frosts come.  They are so pretty with the delicate gold lacework and dots around them.  This one is beneath the fence rail.

Among:  Among all the leaves and grass, the autumn crocus have finally emerged.  Everything seems very late this year including autumn, which arrived with a bang this week.

Choose anything monthly:  the herb garden.

Each week, Lysha puts up a photographic challenge with prompts for us to look out for, then we share on Lysha's Saturday (my Sunday). Get inspired!

This week the prompts were:  Trees, scenery, outfit, starts with D, Your Choice.

Trees: our front yard.  It is now feeling autumny with the leaves starting to fall, but with daytime temperatures still in mid-20s.  At last we got some decent rain.

Scenery: This is taken from the cafe at Hamilton Gardens looking over Turtle Lake.  You can see the top of the russian teahouse on the horizon.  

Outfit:  This is my fave outfit, taken by Ian.  It's not new (at least 3 years old) but I still love it and feel great whenever I wear it.

Starts with D: Dried mushrooms.  That's what I have been doing lately, lots of dehydrating.

Your choice:  we have had a great summer with lots of bountiful fruitfulness in the garden and orchard.  We are so grateful to have seen the result of our hard work and planning and hope the new owners will appreciate it.

Another new stamp from Stampendous ...  isn't it cute?  Watch out for that sugar rush.  

I stacked the patterned paper with the oval die cut with card layers to make the frame a bit deeper; I didn't want it as deep as foam tape.
