We have an elderly friend in his eighties who is always making furniture for his demanding children and grandchildren. It's his birthday soon so I thought I'd acknowledge his role as carpenter extraordinaire. I really enjoy making these personalised cards for people I know will enjoy them.
The image is a QKR digital coloured with Copics and fussy cut; popped up on foam tape. Background is a Sizzix EF with texture and screws, spritzed with several layers of Distress Ink Sprays, rubbed over the screws with brown DI, and coated them with Ranger Glossy Accents. The Kraft board with the sentiment is embossed with Sizzix woodgrain, edge border smoothed with bone folder in scoring board and screwed using silver dots with a line through. A couple of tool charm diecuts from dieNamics stuffed into his toolkit. White pen highlights.
