ferny

I hardly ever work in neutrals (they're not really me), and find it really difficult, but I love grey and black together and thought this was a nice clean and simple combination with some textural interest and distressed edge.

I used a fern stencil and versamark inked through it before heat embossing with Fran-tage aged silver embossing powder - what a lovely effect it gives.  It is the first time I have used it - it's very lumpy and grainy and has this lovely varied finish.  It's kind of a lottery how it comes out... very exciting.

Sentiment stamp: Hero Arts
Stencil: The Crafters Workshop (TCW)
Embossing powder: Stampendous Fran-tage

  12. Wonderful card - what else could someone from the land of the long white cloud stamp better than a silver fern.....(and I hear they are re-designing the flag!).
Love it and have many good memories of NZ long ago.
