I am so thrilled to be part of the Come and Get It design team. Thanks for inviting me and for the great welcome.
When I got the brief for the first challenge, I had just received a new die that I had been on my wish-list for a while and finally managed to get, so the Starry Night Background die is my "something new" as well as the fabulous image Silent Film A from A Day for Daisies. I made the card for a male movie buff.
I diecut the blue card and backed it onto a green base card to show the cut out stars. The image is such a strong one I decided to let it take over, making a wonky frame for the large image and putting small images behind the filmstrip . The sentiment is stamped on and silver embossed, layered with silver halographic card on 3D foam. The filmstrip is also layered with dimensional foam. I left the images black and white, because that's what they were in those days!

Background die: Memory Box Starry Night Background
Filmstrip die: Tim Holtz
Star die: Creative Dies
Large deckle die frame: Nellies
Sentiment stamps: Technique Tuesday (awesome) and Heidi Swapp (you are)
