Moon Box

There are five flips.  My flip was: CAS, shaped, gemstones, ribbon/twine, recycled/upcycled.  EEeeeekk!
This would be great for a man to keep his jewellery in.  Or a woman.

What a great challenge.

Copics, black acrylic paint, metallic flakes, gems, twine

I painted the box black, when dry, I sanded randomly to get an aged look.  The image lent itself to adding gold leaf flakes which I did to small areas as I did not want to overwhelm the image (and remember, I had to keep it CAS), coloured the eyes and lips, then added the gemstones.  I was going to keep it toned down and then thought " hey, they are gems, go to town"!  I think it's still CAS?
(Lots of white area, minimal layers etc)

Watermelon Summer

What is nicer on a hot summer day than watermelon?

I chose sequins in watermelon colours and added black pips with Enamel Accents.  Wink of Stella on the watermelon to make it look juicy.  Watermelon is adhered with 3D foam tape.

Silhouette Colour

Making colour backgrounds using residual ink from other projects.  Ink smooshed, and spritzed onto background; also used as watercolour paint to colour foliage.

Bride Bouquet

I wanted this card to look like a regular wedding photo so used layers of frames, one of them is a lace frame that hardly shows in the pic.  The sprinkle of tiny white hearts don't show up well either.

Retiform Garden

I made this for my swap buddy Val in our NZ cardswap group where the monthly theme was retiform cards.  There are plenty of examples on how to make them on the internet.  It involves a lot of masking & stamping.

I thought since the weather has been gloomy going into our southern winter, a garden sunshiny card was called for, and a reminder that summer is coming in a few months.   The bunnies at the bottom are to give a little friendship hug while we are still feeling the effects of Covid19.

I chose to colour, then cut out the image and raise it on 3D foam tape.  Last year my husband had a fall from a ladder while cleaning the outside windows (what a legend) and ended up with a walking stick for a while until his knee surgery.  I have made this for his birthday later this month... he is my hero.

Goofy Things

I love colouring these images. 
I stamped then masked the image, smooshed an area, then stencilled in layers, and splattered gold.  Removed the mask and coloured the image with Copics.

Mosaic

This is made using a punch I have had forever (probably one of the first ones I owned);  I am trying to use stuff I have, but maybe have forgotten or not used for ages.

The base card is heavy cream linen finish, so I punched 12 squares from light cream parchment paper  and made a larger square in gold paper for the centre, by punching four times.  It was really difficult lining up the punch to get a bigger square, so there were about 8 centres that ended up in the bin before I got a good one... then spacing ... ugh.

Tiny Flower Garden

I was looking through some old cardmaking books that I was going to get rid of  and there was a section on using vellum.

So I got out my vellum - I hardly ever use it, I don't know why not.

I used a small piece of blue vellum to go behind a diecut frame, then tore it off.  I love torn edges.
Then layered a torn brown scrap for the dirt, and a piece of negative leftover scrap for the grass.  Talk about using up scraps!
I drew veins on the diecut leaves in two colours of green gel pen, one of them sparkly.  Another sparkly gel pen dotted on the sticky-out bits of the flowers.  The dragonfly is punched from a tiny iridescent leftover.
