Inky Butterflies
I made this for the NZCardmakers cardswap. The topic was a technique with diecuts, inspired by: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGea4z1wguQ&list=PLzgt-3_92RYSmqxNhbTI1sp2ZUkaDbkI7&index=12
The diecuts are single, double & triple stacked for depth, stuck on then the colouring added, spritzed, more colour, spritzed, more colour and so on. The butterflies were actually different colours of snippets of card before the colouring was added and it didn't matter if the snippet was too small for the die because I was cutting bits off the edge anyway.

Washi Dog
A washi card, even the dog is washi stuck onto card and fussy cut. NZ cardswap was washi this month.

Bubble Hugs
The papers are made using the bubble technique. I first bubbled with strong coffee then, when it was dry, I overlaid with purple acrylic paint bubbles. I recycled some music sheets, a tag, and an activities timetable.

In the dark: We have been having big storms this week; this is taken during a lightning flash about 9.30pm. I took lots of photos to get one of the lightning - quite hard in the dark and anticipating when it will flash - just lucky timing. This was the only one I got with lightning.
Your choice: I was in Auckland on Friday with friends and we went to this cafe for lunch, I love the window and it made a great pic. You can hardly tell it was raining.

Hm SnowTag
I stamped the top layer, coloured, added striped card for borders with gold paper in a fine stripe, also a red card and white card diecut tag to layer. A tiny tag added with the stamped sentiment all tied up with yard and gold cord. The glitter snow put on the ground, white Enamel Accents to the cone for snow (it is very glossy). Stencilled snow in the background using DI's.

Acorn. Because it is still spring here, there are no acorns, however my clever husband makes these keyrings from oak on his lathe.
November: the first new leaves.
August: it was just dead sticks.
Brown: what is a nicer brown than the chocolatey top of tiramisu?
Forever: these two ammonite fossils have been around forever, or at least for the longest time of most things on the planet! They are beautiful.

Leaf love: These two heart-shaped leaves are snuggling together, definitely leaf love!
On your plate quarterly: one night I made lemon meringue pie ... oh yum! This is the left over bit saved for the next night!
No humans allowed: a Japanese Spitzer called Amber lives on our street - she is so cute, well behaved and beautifully groomed. I love this shot with the tongue!

Mouse Perfection
The challenge at House Mouse and Friends is always about the Mouses, Hoppers or Gruffies, and this time the challenge is Anything Goes with optional Something Cosy.

I chose this wonderful image of mousie snuggled into the flower looking cosy and relaxed. I would join her if I was small enough, but I would probably take a little book with me!
I coloured the image, masked it, sponged and stencilled, then trimmed it and added a strip of cobweb to one side along with a narrow strip of silver card. The sentiment is stamped and layered four layers thick with the same wine coloured card, and pearls added. I like how the deckle edge of the sentiment echoes the edges of the petals.
