Old friends are like sunshine! Enjoying each other's company, a bit of sunshine, bare feet on the sand.
I stamped the image, paper-pieced their outfits, sponged some clouds (Unique Creations) using a diecut as a stencil, and did a little Copic colouring. Stickles on sentiment, white pen highlights, base card is red.

The background is stamped text with distressed edges. AALL & Create diecut panel is pale blue, stamped in black. At the bottom, the border is an old TimHoltz rosette die, partially folded with a contrast strip. Silver dots are drops-outs from a die. Black pen doodles randomly on the background. For lovers of purple. "A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes" says the sentiment. Heat embossed in purple sparkle on a slightly textured card, it's a little hard to read in the photo. The front panel is diecut (Crafter Companion), laid over an iridescent watermark silk paper and the main butterflies are put back in, wings opened. Those main butterflies are bejewelled. I felt it was all that was needed. I will use the drop-out butterflies in other projects.

I made this for a friend who turned 90.
The stamps are Art Impressions coloured with copics and fussy cut. For the background panel I diecut numbers and used them as stencils, brushing over soft patches of DI, a bit of shimmer spray. Edges of panel inked. On the insert I burnt a corner. I have covered up the private message with loose strips.
Even at 90 you can have some fun.

Lots of patterned paper and flowers to say hello in a pretty, floral way.
Torn and sliced papers patchwork style, splattered. Diecut flowers (wet & crumpled), leaves and stacked sentiment. I doodled some stitching, the dots are drop-outs from other dies. I was able to use up a lot of leftovers/snippets for this.
I made this for our daughter who is one of five finalists in NZ Hairdresser of the Year. We are so proud of her, and whether she wins or not, we think she deserves a crown anyway.
I used DI's to puddle the colours in the background, and stamped over with the chicken. Copics used here and there to accentuate colours, white pen and black pen doodles, snipped up stamped sentiments, and some Stickles.

A curvy woman, a beautiful patterned paper and a lacy trim, how feminine is this?
The woman is stamped, coloured with Copics and fussy cut. I have had these papers for ages ( I mean years) and have struggled to use them. A lace border and cut out stamped sentiment (I have been waiting ages to use this one too). A bit of gold and white pen, and some Stickles. She is popped up on foam tape.
It didn't start out this way but it got sidetracked and ended up being a softly feminine card, not my usual style at all. It started with the image and meandered away into lacy pinkness. I think she looks like she is dancing in a world of flowers.
The EF (a magazine freebee) was embossed on previously smooshed paper, then direct-to-paper Distress inked on the high spots. The stamped image is coloured with Copics and gold pen.the border is defined with a band of double stacked paper lace (years old from stash), a band of pink linen card and a diecut stacked bow (Three Button Studio) with a gold dot. I gathered real lace and glued it to the image like a skirt, popped up on foam tape. Gems added. Stamped sentiment (TimHoltz) chopped up and put on wonky. DI's, a snippet of lace and linen card, gold pen, Stickles and gems.
WE are expecting a week of wind and rain, how appropriate is this card?
I used Distress Inks to smoosh the top of the card panel, and the side of a piece of cardboard dipped in the ink to make the rain. OOooo I love getting inky.
The Tim Holtz man is diecut (a really old Bigz die) from black card lightly paint-brushed over with gold paint. Stamped sentiment and clear droplets.

The image is from Bugaboo (sadly no longer available), coloured with Copics, fussy-cut. The EF background is Cuttlebug with a diecut honeycomb. Oval dies are Spellbinders. Stamped sentiment and punched butterflies. The birthday sentiment is inside, forgot to photograph before sending. No, don't ration the excitement - enjoy!
A bit of fun for Luca's first birthday.
I tried to get a bit non-traditional in the way of colour combinations and was pleased with this.
The little letter dies are inlaid and attached to a silky twine strung from side to side but hanging free so they can be tilted and played with. The Uniquely Creative numbers die is also inlaid, as are the helicopter pieces. A punched gold star to add shine and dots of gold Nuvo drops on wheels and whirly bit. All assembled on a fabulous patterned paper.
