Wild Garden

 


This is for the November Crafty Chefs recipe:  I managed all except the pearls/gems because I didn't thinks they suited the wild garden; and that's why I used a natural fibre ribbon and the wooden button, which was made by my clever hubby.  I love this pic with those little wild creatures, and those yummy autumn blackberries.

Must have: Mirror card, at least 3 layers, ribbon, an image of garden visitors.

Can have: sparkle/glitter, pearls/gems,  dry emboss.

I (heart) Carl

 Scribbles Designs challenge for October is Feature a Creature.  I chose Carl, a special froggy.


I used my new gelli plate to make the background, swiping inks and brayering etc.  It makes a lovely texture and I got a couple of prints each time.  I added a bit more interest to the background by making twinkles with a sakura clear Stardust pen which, amazingly, I managed to show up in the photo.

Cosy up

 

One of the nice things about some days is that you can just curl up with a book, a drink and a treat, and not worry about anything else.  Indulgent but so restoring.
I haven't sent this to anyone yet (I'm enjoying it myself for a while) so have ticked the boxes yet.  The paper and some elements are from Pixel Scrapper. The books are from Oddball Art.  Also WinkofStella  on the icing of the cookies.  I love the blue and green together.

I made this for my NZ Cardswap buddy; the topic was to make a card using white diecuts.

I smooshed with Distress Inks to make a background, twisting it in a circular motion.

Bouquet

 

This fold is called a double point fold, and I can't remember where I got the instructions.
I attached it to a base card so it stands up. 
The diecut labels are edged with gold embossing powder.
Pink is also appropriate for October Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Pumpkin Pocket

 


The recipe at Crafty Chefs in October is 
MUST HAVE: A tag, a pocket, analagous colours, a die.
MAY HAVE: Mirror card, a charm, stitching
I managed to get the all in.
The stitched tag has two levels of pull-out ... Boo and pull further for a ghost.  This was fun to make.

Hallowe'en Witches (wishes)

 I have started the Altenew Cards-in-Motion class and this is a Spinner card which is from lesson day 4.  The inside is from Day 3 (a pop-up).   The centre stays still and the outer circle turns.

My grandaughter Rhi and I have a hallowe'en cardswap challenge going, so this is my card for her.
