New Year Chick

Our January NZ cardswap is using an Impossible Card fold and a monochrome colour scheme. It is a Splitcoaststampers tutorial.

I used this cute chick image and some real feathers from one of my chickens.

Image: Heartly Farm
Happy Die: Heidi Swapp
NY embossed stamp: Craft Creations
Bawk stamp: Art Impressions
Also: feathers, WoS, copics

The chicken is painted with WoS for sparkle.  Click on image to see it.

This is so cute, Carol. I love that you used one of your own bird's feathers. I mean, as long as they didn't mind you sharing one of their feathers. I love the sentiment "Bawk". That is great. [Bunny]

They freely donated the feather Bunny. Chickens moult at least once a year, as their feather wear out over time and they need new fluffy ones.

What a fun card Carol. Love that cute chicken image and how you have 'coloured' it. The fluffy feather is the perfect accnet - I have yet to make mine...

NOTE: this fold is easier than it looks (very easy really) and if you don't know how it's done looks baffling. Only thing is if I made it next time, I would make it a bit smaller as it ended up larger than standard post and cost double to mail.
