Hungry Gull

Another try at mixed media.  This is a stamp I just got;  I love the sketchiness of the drawing and its a bit quirky too. For those in other countries,  chips = french fries, fries.

Is this really what gulls are thinking?  Do they really have a choice about what they eat?  Do they prefer pie or chips?  Or is it wishful thinking?

I made the background using a round sponge blender with white chalk ink, splattering silver mister and black acrylic paint.  I dipped the bottom in versamark and gold EP.  The sentiment and bollard is torn from an encyclodedia (which I was given), painted lightly with white gesso, inked & stamped over.  The gull is coloured with copics and cut out.

Image & sentiment: Woodware

Inks, gesso, acrylic paint, silver mister, EP, printed page

What a fabulous card Carol - pie and chips or fish and chips? Love this, and your mixed media background is stunning. Great use of the encyclopedia paper - I have an old Webster's dictionary given to me v=for the same purpose.
Stay safe
