Doesn't everyone love a cute monster? I used some alcohol ink dyed YUPO paper to diecut the monsters and some snippets of card for the eyes and tongues. The tongues are all hearts that come with the set, and are just tucked into the mouth at various angles. The bottom monster is popped up on 3D foam, the top monster is holding the birthday banner. Inspired by the sketch below.

I love these images which come with great little sentiments. What a happy cat.
I stamped the image, then smooshed Distress Inks to make the water. The rest I coloured with Copics. Sparkle on the water is Wink of Stella (see detail photo).

I am trying to use some of my older stamps and supplies in a new way. This is an old Tim Holtz stamp and die set. I think this would make a good male card.
At our previous house, the cicada, after emerging from the ground in spring or summer, used to attach to the horizontal rails of a wooden fence, burst out of their skins and leave their cases dangling like christmas tree lights; in the sunlight they were sheer gold. There were hundreds of them.
I stamped the background directly onto a base card using Versamark ink (about 20 years old) and dusted it over with mica powder, wiping off the excess. I stamped the bugs (I think they're cicada), heat embossed in gold, then diecut. The sentiment is stamped directly onto the card and gold heat embossed.

How delightful is this? Such fun. I made this for a stitching friend.
It started with the patterned paper with the stitching edge and developed from there. The image stamped, coloured and fussy cut. The short edges of the card are scored with dots for texture, and the pin heads have glossy accents (they look like real pins). Image on 3D foam. Circle sentiment & diecut.

A birthday card with personality using Tim's cats, hopefully evoking a smile. Cats love to climb and be up high to keep an eye on what's happening.
The bottom background is a DI smooshed leftover in pastel rainbow colours, edged with a gold strip/snippet. The black background is embossed with paw prints, inked with gold. The cats are stamped, DI blended (eyes masked) and fussy cut.

I used to have chickens, lots of different kinds. They are very smart birds - I bet you didn't know they could do gymnastics like this. Often I would find them sitting on top of each other in the nest box even though there were some boxes not occupied. They are very sociable. cluck! cluck!
