Butterfly Friend

I made the butterfly from watercolour paper that I coloured using pigment crystals; it's so pretty.

The sentiment label is sponged with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and spritzed with water, so it's actually a bit speckled, then stamped with the sentiment.

Bag Lady

I made this for our D-i-L's birthday, these are definitely her colours.

I used a couple of EF, inserted a piece of p.paper, and lined the cut edges with d/s tape then glittered.   The handbag is a chipboard piece from my stash ( I haven't got a clue where it came from).

Beachy

While we are in the middle of winter it's nice to think of summer coming.  Most places in NZ are not more than an hour from a beach and that's usually where summer happens.



I made the background using an embossing folder.  Embossed the card, inked it, spritzed it, dried, then inked it again, so it is soft and sharp at the same time.


I also like using torn edges so here is the sea with foam and sky with wispy cloud on it's edges.


Actually, thinking about it, everything is from magazine freebies.

The starfish and sandcastle are popped up on 3D foam.

Define Normal Bird

I love Tim Holtz crazy birds.  At the moment with the world being crazy, what is normal?

I used them here with some background watercolour paper that I have been experimenting with pigment powders.  I made a torn paper mask and painted a strip with white acrylic paint. Stamped over, splattered and inked the edge.

Watercolour Sunshine

Watercolour paint.

I used lots of layers of paint and colours to make a background.  I really like simple cards and this one is so serene.  The card is watercolour cold pressed paper, so has lots of lovely rough texture to grab the paint.

Scrappy Strips Smile

I made this for the NZ cardswap.  We are in the middle of winter here in NZ and in need of a little sunshine to brighten things up.

Scraps/snippets from bin, sliced randomly.  The tiny bird is cut from a teensy scrap left over from the strips.  "Smile" and the bird are stacked using scraps cut from left overs, so the stack  has all sorts of colours in it that if you look closely you can see from the side.

Woohoo, I managed to get it all in without it looking overwhelmed.  My fave colour is always blue.  The strawberries are stamped directly onto the base card.
