This week the prompts were:  Remembrance, dainty, heart, TV, your choice.

Remembrance:  Whenever I spy this little glass millefiore, I remember the time we spent in Venice.

Dainty:  I love hatpins.  Here are three I made displayed in a pincushion I made using a little teacup set I found in a junk shop.

Heart:  Here are some heart shaped pot mitts I made for a daughters friend.

TV:  I took lots for this prompt, but like this one because it reflected out living areas, inside and out.  You can see the stacker-sliders out onto the deck with the gazebo curtains fluttering in the breeze, or should I say snapping in the gale?  Also spot my jar of feathers that I collect on my strolls.

My Choice:  Citrus.  Our trees are loaded this year - mandarins, tangelo, lemon, lime and grapefruit.  Ian has made lots of marmalade.  I have been making lemon syrup cakes.

Not Interested

 This man is just not interested.   The image is stamped, masked, then smooshed, splattered & misted.  I sprayed coffee in the area where the sentiment was to go.  His face is watercoloured with D Inks and the monocle done with Glossy Accents.   Oh what fun.

Chicken In

 

A CAS card, the image is masked and coloured with distress inks.  

I made this for a DT buddy who is very sick.

My pets are chickens; I have eight: Roxie, Cilla, Betsy, Ruby, Jacky, Rosie, Spicy and Beanie.  But my very fave is Roxie.  She is like a human.  She is always the first one to greet me and answers to her name.

This is Roxie come to ask if I will let her go out into the orchard.  She is backed up by Ruby and Cilla.  And yes, in the background you can see one of their houses and the chicken swing.  When I pick her up and stroke her she sort of purrs in her throat.

Sunbeams

 I really enjoy making scrappy strip cards.   I made this for a NZ Cardswap requiring using this technique.    The background EF is lightly inked with pale blue.  There are tiny dots of Kindyglitz on the detail in the EF.   

I think it looks like a sunbeam shining in the forest.

Haven't we all played with science kits?

I made this for a grandson who is scientific minded.   I managed dots, stripes and checks.  The front of the card swings aside to reveal the hidden message underneath.   I mounted the panel on a side opening black base card.   It's from a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire called "Simple Swing Reveal Card" on youtube.  https://youtu.be/jkLV4F8Rolo

The prompts this week were:  Clip, Dear, Handmade, Starts with D, Your choice.

CLIP:  Ian hasbeen clipping the feijoa hedge and the star jasmine growing on the trellis, doesn't it look nice and tidy?

DEAR:  here are two of my dear grandchildren, Jackson and Rhiannon.

HANDMADE:  Our local patchworkers & quilters guild quilt exhibition.  All handmade by amazing women.  Mine is the gold-ish boxes illusion quilt in the middle of the frame.  I like this shot because of all the overlapping shapes.

STARTS with D:  I love daisies, so simple and such an amazing design.  Look at the little row of yellow dots around the dark blue centre.

Bunny

 I've had this wooden bunny for ages and never found a use for it, until now.  My tiny pompoms got an airing too for this gorgeous fluffy tail.  I thought this could do for lots of occasions.  I chose this washi because it looked a bit like grass.
