HM #410 Mousey Warm

House Mouse & Friends new challenge is all about Embossing!  how easy is that?
Check out the design team's work and be inspired, HERE:  housemouse-challenge

I used an embossing folder with a knitted design, inked one side with dark red ink and embossed.  The sentiment is heat embossed (I still love that magic process), and image is coloured with Copics.  Doesn't it look cosy?

Foxy Strip Sparkle

A great way to use leftovers of coordinating paper.  Snippet strips about 7mm wide are laid brick-style onto D/S adhesive sheet adhered to mat card. When strips are laid and trimmed, glitter is sprinkled over and pressed into the gaps.  The yellow sentiment and black shadow die cuts are also from leftover bits.

Bear Hugs

You'll find lots of critters at Critter Crazy, yours can be one of them.  Join us here: crittercrazy

This is a simple card really with the bears providing the fun part of the card.  I made a background with Distress Inks and also used them to shade the bears.
This is for our 40-something daughter who is going through a tough patch right now.

Die:   Waffle Flower (thanks Arlene)

Touchy-Feely

This is for the monthly NZ Cardswap - topic is Touchy-Feely.  The card must have at least 3 tactile textures/surfaces.  I have applied texture paste with a stencil (rough), a satin ribbon (smooth and soft), a dry and then heat embossed panel (slippery and textured), a panel of blackboard card (matt and slightly rough),  a strip of netting (hard), a die cut bunny from metal (hard and shiny), and some felt squares scattered (soft and fluffy).  That's 7!!! without counting the smooth white base card.

Die: I thinks it's Sizzix

EF: Cuttlebug

Stencil:

Also: netting, metal, texture paste, white pencil, blackboard card, felt snippets, satin ribbon

Out the Window

I found this lovely window digi stamp and just had to use it.  Just imagine if you had a bird hotel outside your window, and a cat inside?  The birds look like they're having fun, but the cat doesn't.

Window, cat and background are Digital Scrapbook, the birds are Doodle Pantry.  I had to outline the cat with black pen as it disappeared into the background.  I  touched up with Copics, added WoS, brads and twine.  The cat is fussycut and stuck with 3D foam.

Welcome

I made this for someone to give their sister who was arriving from overseas for a first-time visit.  She wanted me to use a photo of her sister in the design.  I have protected her privacy so she is not recognisable by digitally drawing over her eyes.  The wording is as instructed.  The colour palette is taken from the beautiful sari she is wearing.

HM&F #409 Add a Border

House Mouse and Friends challenge this time is Anything Goes with option of ADD A BORDER.

Our design team have inspiration for you, here:  housemouse-challenge

I decided to make the border with washi and chose watermelon pink.  Coloured with Copics, I put Glossy Accents on the pips to make them shine.  These little mice always seem to be eating!

Lucky Stars

Thanks Geesje for inviting me to be your guest designer for this challenge at Penny's Papercrafty.  And thanks to sponsor Dr Digi for providing this fun digi stamp to work with.

Check out the challenge here:  pennyschallenges

I printed the image onto card, cut out the image and coloured it.  I also printed parts onto patterned papers for paper piecing.  The background is made using Distress Oxide inks blended and spritzed to look like a night sky.  I then diecut the scene background and glued it on, using 3D foam to prop up the cut edges of the hills for dimension, popping  in Terry and his dog so they stand on one.  I put 3D foam behind their heads and telescope too for dimension.  The bigger stars have Stickles to make a sparkle.
Image: Dr Digi (Telescope Terry),  Die: Unknown, Sentiment: unknown, also Copics, Distress Oxide Inks, Stickles, white pen, gold pen.

Love Hearts

This is a swivel card from a youtube tutorial by Jennifer McGuire.  The red card in thebackground and the heart are the same, but for some reason they have photographed differently, probably because the heart is tilted with the mechanism and the angle catches the light differently. The smaller heart is popped up on 3Dfoam.   The DP has some dots of metallic foil and I added gems to the word.  Later on I have a pic of it flat.  A narrow strip of the DP is put inside the card.
