Vivid Sydney #2

The theme of VIVID this year is nature.

Afternoon walk down to the harbourside.  Centre is the Mu-sea-um with a naval ship and on the right are the docks for the harbour cruise boats.  This is taken from the pedestrian bridge across the bay.

The promenade with lots of restaurants ... and my fave building again.  Just below that building is where the boat is that we went on the harbour dinner cruise at night.

The Dinner Cruise on the harbour; during dinner the boat cruised up and down the harbour, into bays etc.  Unfortunately my phone played up and got stuck on movie mode after these photos.
On of the harbourside buildings with a continuous light show playing on it. This is the same building below.  It had birds flying across and vines and flowers flowing up it - much more vivid in real life.

The harbour bridge was all lit up with various sequences of light and screening images on the pillars, as was the Opera House with fish swimming and birds flying and turtles etc.  Of course this is when I couldn't get the camera to go!!!!   By the time we got back in shore it seemed to  be working again - DRAT!  So sorry, no photos of the bridge or Opera house doing their spectacular thing.  I do have movies, but can't seem to get them to upload.

This is the Mu-sea-um with navy boat (probably frigate sized) parked in front, both with the same light show.  It camouflages the boat nicely!  (View from the walking bridge on the way back to the hotel).  The curved bit at the top is the roof of the Mu-sea-um, the main part is the ship.

View from the other side of the bridge: this is Cockle Bay right in front of the hotel.  Lots of light sequences and fountains, fireworks, and stuff.

The curvy building with W is a luxury hotel to be completed in October (The WORLD hotel).  Our hotel is just to the right out of the picture and looks out over this bay.

And so on to bed two very tired tourists.
