HM Stitched Up

WE want you to Get Stitched Up  at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge.  See what the design team have made to inspire you, here:  housemouse-challenge

Firstly I made the background using Distress Inks and white acrylic paint splatters.  Diecut the leaf and stitched.  Fussy cut the image.  The image is from a CD and was already coloured, however I touched it up with Copics as it printed quite wishy-washy.  The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed with distress EP in rose-gold.  D/S tape placed along the bottom and glittered, the mouse placed with the flower coming up from it.  All placed on a black base card.  We are just coming into autumn here, hence the end of summer/autumny colours sunflower and falling leaf.

Image: House Mouse (Joanna Sheen CD)

Senti: unknown

Die:

Also: Copics, DIs, white acrylic paint, white pen, threads, glitter.

Wow, the leaf is so pretty and I bet that took awhile to stitch up! That little guy sleeping in the flower is so darn cute too. Super fun theme Carol!

A great card Carol. I noted your comment about the wishy-washy printing and agree with you. I have noticed it and thought it was my printer at fault.
Thank you for sharing with us.

I love the happy little mouse on your birthday card, the little fella seems so unbothered and happy, enjoying what I imagine is sunshine on his belly. The stitched leaf is a perfect addition to the scenery, and I like how you made it a colourful leaf, which goes so nicely with the background. The sentiment is a great wisdom. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

Hugs, Veronika
