Sprig for You

Now and then I climb out of my box and do something like this.  I re-discovered my rub on wax and decided it would be perfect for the dark green leaves cut from slightly textured card, the wax shows the texture beautifully.  Sentiment cut from mirror card. The almost-silhouette is set against a light spring-ish floral and lace - reminds me of sitting under the trees in summer - high tea anyone?

Flower XOXO

Stamping, splattering, paper piecing and a bit of sparkle.

I stamped the flower on white card, sponged Distress Ink around the flower head to make a halo and then splattered.  Stamped the same flower & leaves on snippets of patterned paper, then cut out. The sequins are actually black with holographic colours and a texture.

Stamp: TimHoltz/SAnonymous

I love that watercolour look.

The background is stencilled using DI's.  The leaves and flowers are coloured by smooshing card with DI's then diecutting, stems coloured with Copics.  the flower heads are splattered with Distress stain.  Some tulips are raised on 3D foam.  Sentiment diecut from mirror card.

Flutterby

What is lighter than a butterfly? If you ever had one land on you you  know it is special and leaves you feeling lighter than the butterfly.  I made this for an internet buddy's birthday.

I used my gelli plate to make this, using stamps and Distress Oxide Inks.  The dots (cut from heavy matt silver) are drop-outs from a die, I stacked some of them with various layers.  They represent the butterfly journey.  The 'happy' die is inset and cut from the same silver card, the 'birthday' is stamped and heat embossed in silver.

Reflections

What fantastic colours together.  I used them to make a water scene and reflections.  I swiped the ink pads, spritzed with water, repeated a couple of times, and dabbed some off to make it blotchy.  Splattered with white Distress Stain and sponged the edges with black DI. When dry I stamped the image over.   I drew the birds with black pen.

Lily & Emeralds

Lovely layered lilies - a jewel in the garden and with jewels here.  The background is made by misting shades of yellow and green then overlaid with metallic gold spray.  When dry, stamped and splattered. The lilies are coloured using Distress Inks and smooshing technique in lots of layers of colour.  I love this  watercolour technique!  I used 3Dfoam tape to get dimension in the flowers and leaves.  I decided not to put a  sentiment.

Die: ? Sizzix

Stamps: unknown.  The scripty one is so old, one of my first ever stamps

Crazy Friends

Wow this took a while but was such fun to make.

Firstly stamped the four women and the heart. Made masks and misted with Distress Oxide spray.  Coloured the women with coloured pencils, added paint to the backgrounds.  Also added paint to the edges of the card and here an there on the women. Splattered white Distress Stain and Glimmermist.  Drew around the shapes with gold pen,  around the borders with black pen, around the sentiment with white pen.  The panel didn't look good on white or black base card, so I coloured the edges of a white base card with Distress Oxide ink.  Tiny gems added and some Glossy Accents. In case you're wondering, yes, I did stamp one woman wonky on purpose!

Women stamps: artgirlz

Heart & texture stamps: IndigoBlu

Also: Dylusions paint, Distress Stain, Distress Oxide spray, D.Oxide ink.  GlimmerMist, Glossy Accents, gems

Pens: gold, black, white

Zen Best Fishes

This is a stamp that I heat embossed then zentangled for a cardswap.  I made the background (by dabbing) using a kids paint set with pearlised colours.  The fish is stamped onto white card, zentagled with black pen and cut out.  Seaweed, and also small fishes are stamped on background so he doesn't get lonely.    A couple of strips of silvery washi across the bottom (I think they look like scales), and some gemstone bubbles.

Stamp: unknown

Sentiment: Pink Petticoat

Little fishes: woodware
