Leafy Magic Window

Our NZ craftycardmakers group swap was for a magic window card  based on a construction tutorial from YouTube.
If I made it again I would make it longer so that it ended up better fitting a standard C6 envelope.
The card is covered and lined with patterned paper.  Leaves are cut from snippets of card, inked (DistressInks) and arranged so they form an arrangement behind the centre circle topper.  Circles are layered, and the black one finger-edged with Opal Dust.
A message is written on the left-hand opening panel inside the card.

As you open the card the mechanism opens the aperture and reveals the message.

Showers of flowers

A bright and cheerful card with a bucket of pretty flowers to cheer someone up.  I chose the paper because it was a little like a rainbow showering colours down.

Beautiful Friends

We are in self isolation owing to you-know-what (in NZ everyone over 70 is supposed to be in self-isolation), so I thought I'd make some cards to send to friends in the same situation to cheer them up.
What a great opportunity (excuse) to craft!!!
Mon 23 UPDATE: we are now in national lockdown.

I stamped the cats along the bottom, and on another piece of paper which I used as a mask to sponge colour behind the cats.  I didn't want to colour the cats because I thinks it looks crisp and fresh like it is.  I added the sentiment along the vertical edge to make a nice triangle, and the colour strip to add weight to the bottom.

Thankful Green

I started with a sketch for inspiration and used plaid (because I love it), but offset it with natural and neutral colours and materials.

I used green as a nod to St Patricks day and decided to include the rainbow (sorry, no pot of gold).

Green Tag Shamrock

I take any opportunity to make little sweet gifts to spread cheer around.  This time I made an elegant tag to go with it for an adult.  The shamrock is layered and actually stands out like a real one, of course real ones don't have glitter..., or maybe the really lucky ones do!

Green Tag Floral Owl

A simple tag to go with a sweet surprise packet.  This one is for the little girl next door.  The sparkly shamrock is 3D and stands out like a real one (which aren't sparkly).  I put it over top of a little bow she had in her hair?? eerrr feathers.
