My two different embellishments are a feather and brads.

I printed the image, then masked it for the stencilling and splatter (which unfortunately I could not get to show up very well in the photo).      Click on for a closer look.

Journey - going for a spin

Made for a family birthday for someone who likes action.   Simple but a bit of fun.
I made the background with Glimmer Mists.
For the spinner I just cut a square from double sided patterned paper and then slots from the corners almost to the middle. Holes pierced in each corner and folded the points to the middle, attached together with a tiny metallic brad.
Words inside say "A birthday is the first day of another 365 day journey, enjoy the trip!"  I thought the travelling spinner was totally appropriate.

Distressed Words

Such great words to encourage someone, especially if they are going through a rough patch, or even if they're not.  Everyone needs to hear these words.





I made the background cards.  The large background is Distress inks sponged onto glossy photo paper; the smaller background is a play with Oxide Inks with distressed edges.

Pearshaped

From time to time for relaxation I doodle zentangles.  Here is one I designed myself and then coloured with pencils.  The background is smudged with distress inks.

Bicycle celebration

A little bit feminine, a little bit pink and lacy but not too fussy.  I used a partial emboss technique to get the un-embossed oval in the centre.
