I love this paper and thought it wasn't too winter-Christmassy for us here in the southern hemisphere (midsummer for us!) and not too fussy either.

Diecuts are such a great way to use up snippets and leftovers.

Meri Kirihimete is Merry Christmas in maori.

Stitched

I don't make many stitched cards, but I really liked this one, so made it for a friend who stitches.
I got the design from the internet.

I used: embroidery thread (green & gold metallic), gold beads, gold metallic tape, sentiment stamp.

Herd it's your Birthday

I used a sketch to make this card.
I stamped the image onto the black base card, embossed with white EP, then coloured  with pencils.  The vellum has an embossed sentiment.

Any of my followers will know I NEVER use brown or orange - well, never say never!  I think that is a BIG challenge!

I used a square card base and made a braided edge at the fold (tutorials on youtube).  I then used squares layered - brown, patterned paper, diecuts and the printed image underneath.I also used the brown card to make a sentiment border with gems.  The diecut leaves are slightly sponged with black.  WOStella added to pumpkins, leaves and kitty's bow.  The ribbon was given to me by one of my grandchildren.

Elephant for You

This cute elepant is stamped onto patterned card, ears coloured with Copics, and cut out.  A little snippet of precious patterned card for the elephant, plus snippets for the diamond and the tag.

The die diamond has a scored border around it, a tag tied on, and is mounted with 3D foam.  The elephant then placed onto the diamond.  The cross stitched embossing folder is inked with pale pink then embossed.

I merged the background paper and the kitty directly onto the base card, then masked so that only the sweater was showing.  Using Distress Inks ,I sponged a lighter background colour on then stamped the knitted texture over using the same colour ink.  The kitty is coloured with Copics.
