This little bouncy bunny is stamped onto a tiny snippet of card I had previously coloured with Distress Oxide inks which was leftover from another project, then cut out.

Leafy Spray

This is the result of a little experimenting trying to get a panel effect without making a panel.

The background is monochromatic grey inks, while the diecut is made using blue and green inks.  The silver mat is a gorgeous heavy handmade (not by me) crushed paper/card with fibres. Edges of the main panel are distressed.

You rock'n'roll

My granddaughter has roller skates and just loves to whizz around everywhere, so for her birthday I have been looking for a nice roller skate stamp for her birthday card.  I found this gorgeous one from Tiddly Inks which is perfect.

I printed the image twice, coloured, cut out the flowers on the second image.  I made the single flowers cup-shaped using a ball tool and stuck them over the 'forward' flowers, lifting the petals.  The ribbon on the cake has Wink of Stella, and the centres of the daisies have clear sparkly Stickles.  Two white tags, one of them also diecut with a lace pattern.  The cake tag is tied around in a knot with dotty tulle, and then all tags tied at the top with more dotty tulle and tied in a bow.

Happy Birthday Pretty Bird

Birds are such handy things to have in our stamps and dies.  I stamped this over a snippet of card I have coloured with distress inks for another project, cut it out.  I then stamped on a base card with the sentiment and placed it over.

Heartfelt

This card started with a challenge moodboard/colour scheme.  I don't usually work in these colours, don't even like them, so it was a HUGE challenge for me.   I do like the stuff in the picture though, so let that inspire me... and I do like the tone-on-tone effect.


I diecut the paper twice (it was double sided) and reconstructed it with opposite colours. Drew the strings in by hand. Stamped & embossed the sentiment in gold on vellum.

Monkey Love

This is such a cute monkey, and he is all dressed up ready to go (maybe take someone out for dinner?hinthint).  I've had the hearts & arrows paper for ages (a freebie with a magazine) and thought it nicely subtle, even though it's not a colour I feel comfortable with.

Big Birthday

I made the background with Distress Inks, stamped and coloured the sheep image and used 3D foam to raise it and the sentiment off the page.  I have been trying to use stuff I haven't used before.

Floral Heart

This started with a sketch, and a stamp not used before.










I stamped the floral heart with versamark ink onto wine coloured card and heat embossed with white EP.  Then I coloured some flowers in a darker colour with Copics and bleached out other areas to get different tones, then cut it out.  I made the background using 3 tones of pink to get an ombre effect, attached them to black card, and stamped a little sentiment.  I had this doily and ribbon in my stash, and encrusted with clear gems .

hei matau

Today is Waitangi Day in New Zealand, our national day.  To celebrate, here is another in my maori series.  This is hei matau, a stylized maori fish hook, which symbolises strength and safe travel across water.  Usually they are carved in bone or pounamu (greenstone) as a pendant.

I have used a background embossed with pohutukawa flowers, which are red and flower around Christmas time, earning the name New Zealand Christmas tree.  Black and red are traditional maori colours.

This is a one-layer CAS card.
The ink is applied directly in 'clouds' to the base card, spritzed with water, and, when dry, stencilled hearts over using sugar glitter paste (maybe my Sugar would like this card?).  A simple stamped sentiment in navy.
