I used to have chickens, lots of different kinds. They are very smart birds - I bet you didn't know they could do gymnastics like this. Often I would find them sitting on top of each other in the nest box even though there were some boxes not occupied. They are very sociable. cluck! cluck!

I remember your chickens Carol, it amazed me how you would cuddle them, I had never seen that before, made me guilty about eating it, how awful.

Can't say I have seen ever them 'stacked' on a nest!
I often feed my friend's chickens, and one in particular will peck, so now I wear gumboots and black trou, and she hasn't figured out where one ends and the other starts...yet. If I give her a rub she generally settles, but I always keep an eye on her!
