Purrthday Wishes

 

A stamp, a square dotty stencil, a die, and embossing folder, some DI's and DOx Sprays, Copics and a white and black pen.  The dots are Enamel Accents, nose is Glossy Accents, inked edges.  I doodled on the balloon and sentiment, and made my own party hat.  The ?Katzelkraft cat is stamped, balloon & string diecut from some previously inked and splattered card.  The box is stamped & paperpieced from kraft paper.

I love this image, but I have doubts whether the mouse is confident about his future safety ...  is he the birthday present? ha, what a thought.

Stamp It

 

This week the challenge is Stamp It (STAMPtember) featuring Simon Says Stamp.

I have been invited to be in the Designer Spotlight on the  Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.   I am so happy to be here and part of the team for STAMPtember.  I love getting stampy & inky.

The background is blended using Distress Oxide Inks, and water stamped with Simon Says Stamp "Soft Plaid" stamp (a technique to remove ink), splattered with Distress Spray Stain n white and black.  The flower stamp is Simon Says Stamp "Beautiful Flowers" stamped with Versamark ink onto Distress Ink smooshed card, heat embossed  in black EP and fussy cut.  The top sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp " Hello Darling" set (I think this must be discontinued), bottom sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp "Beautiful Flowers" both are heat embossed with Ranger Distress embossing powder in Weathered Wood. The trio of dots stamp is also from the "Hello Darling" stamp set.  Banner has silver inked edges.

Also:  Distress Spray Stain splatter, Perfect Pearls spray, Kindyglitz gold (on stamens). Scraps of dictionary page, corrugated card, frosted silver card, silver thread.

I think you've got to be over 60 to get this.  I made this for a cardmaking buddy's birthday.

A couple of patterned papers, hot pink panel cut on the diagonal and edged with gold.  The stamped image is coloured with Copics, fussy cut and popped up.  Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and some gems for sparkle - every chick needs some sparkle!   Does anyone know this image? I have no packaging.

Catfishy Wishes

 

A bit of doodling with black pen to make a frame, roughly coloured with Distress Crayons.  Stamped cat (Katzelkraft) on snippet of card, masked and stencilled (Ranger) on background with DI, coloured with Copics. Opal Dust added to fish for scales, cat panel is edged in black DI, popped up on foam tape.

Rainbow Celebration

 

A rainbow is always a good sign and something to celebrate.  

The sentiment is heat embossed with sparkly red EP and cut as a  strip.  The hot colours diecut rainbow is sitting in the clouds EF.  I love the limited colour in the rainbow, I didn't want any other colours, and I didn't want colour in the background either.  A small enamel dot in black for shine.  I like this, I'm going to try out different colour combinations ... who says rainbows have to stick to the rules?

Rainbow Dancer

 

She sprinkles stars as she jumps over the rainbow, that's sure to make your day special.

Rainbow die in ROYGBIV colours, AALL & Create stamp of girl & sun. Copics, Embossing Folder, star sequins (some clear rainbow and some silver).  The card base is dark green, although here it looks blackish.

Bunny Beets

 

Another CAS card.  (When you start out making CAS it is really hard not to want to keep putting stuff on, but it does get easier with practice).

Here I've used a Colorado bunny stamp & sentiment.  Coloured with Copics, with a little bit of fine splatter.  I made this for a granddaughter.  Note the matching envelope which I usually forget to do.

Pasifika 1

 

Definitely CAS and definitely pasifika.  The embossed frangipani stamp is a typical design in the pacific islands (about 25yo, Kiwi-Impressionz, one of my first stamp buys!).  I had a bit of fun with the colours and layering and decided they could do the work, leaving the sentiment subtle. I like the slightly distressed look.  Pencils used to colour.  Sentiment stamped embossed with pewter EP.

ATC Butterfly

 

ATC's with butterfly, I CASEd Anna-Karin at layersofink and made two ATC's as one picture.  Distress Oxide Sprays on background.  Stamps of butterfly, alphabet, numbers and sentiment stamps from the same set which came to me unpackaged.  Gilding flakes applied randomly on butterflies, inked edges, white pen dots.

I love these colours together, teal and bubblegum pink, what an inspiration, and CAS too!

I used an embossing folder on the background panel, some diecuts and a teal sentiment strip stamped and embossed with silver, popped up on foam.

Butterfly Beautiful

 

Inspired by a colour challenge with pink & teal.  Base card stamped and clear heat embossed with the word.  Banners diecut and stamped. Word stamp: Simon Says Stamp Beautiful flower, background stamp Soft Plaid Simon says Stamp.  Butterfly stamped and clear embossed (an old Hobbycraft stamp about 2007).

Sweet Icecream

 

Sweet colours and sweet flavours...splat!! I guess we've all had this happen to us when we were kids.

I hardly ever work in pastels, but this was fun. 

The patterned paper is double sided (Heidi Grace), cut to fit the top-fold card base with a narrow border, then sliced & diced from corner to corner, then two of the panels are turned over to the reverse side.  A pink PPaper border across the middle to hold the icecream image which has been matted on gold, coloured with Copics in my favourite flavours - pistachio and raspberry ripple- and popped up on foam. Not sure about the image, because I dragged it out of my BITZ box... I think it may be Bugaboo? If you know please let me know. The sentiment is diecut and stacked x4 (Three Button Studio) from a patterned paper snippet of green with pink dots - yum.  Sequins in the same flavours added.

August Hello

 

I made this for a NZ cardswap - the theme was stuff relating to the month of August.  I chose the green faceted embossed metallic panel to represent Peridot, dark red to represent Spinel, (both August gemstones) and the stars to represent the Perseids meteor showers (with sparkles) that occur during August.  I used the flowers because it's nearly spring here in NZ.  A drop of Glossy Accents on flowers for dew drops.  The Hello senti was sent to me by Jude.
