This week I've been having a play with paints, inks etc. what fun!  The middle masked and paint brushed roughly on sides.  Splatter with black mister.  Cat coloured with Copics and fussy cut.

Birdday Tag

 

Tags have a nice shape to work with.  I like this die because it has a stitched edge which seems to give it a more finished touch.   

I chose the bird first, stamped and coloured it with DOxInks. I swiped the black tag over with the various DOxInk colours, misted with shimmer, then when dry, stamped the sentiment with versamark ink and embossed with rusty-looking Distress EP.  I also sprinkled some EP randomly around the tag too.  I doodled the oval frame and some scribbly knots and dots both in silver and then in white pen (gives it a bit of depth), finishing off with the 3D antique silver dots.

Black n White n Scribble

 

It started with a sketch and some snippets of patterned paper and finished with doodling.

A simple design really with a Panel die, an Oval die, a square punch (all unbranded) and a sentiment.  Also: white pen, black pen, cord.

Butterfly just for you

 

I diecut the butterfly from card I had inked and sprinkled with Infusion powders to get this wonderful effect.

The fold is called a cascade fold see it at Beccy's Place.

Flight

 

A very simple card.  I like using birds and butterflies for sympathy cards as they symbolise journey to me.

The die and sentiment are unknown brands ( if anyone knows them, please advise me so I can acknowledge), but what a lovely feeling they provide.  I added pearls and silver pen dots, and matted onto pearly metallic card.  I added some of the drop-out birds to the envelope.

Snowdrops

 

Snowdrops are usually the first spring flowers to appear.  The background is sprinkled with gold EP and also edged with gold EP to make a frame.

HM&F Watery Day

MySpy April - colourful

 This month I'm doing colourful:

Spotted at a local garden centre

Road cones that breed like rabbits

Cushion cover that I bought years ago in Hong Kong - I still love it

Penstemon - these are so pretty and flower away all summer long without any attention, well, maybe a little watering now and then.

Some jelly rolls fabric (found in a sale) that decided they needed to be in my house.   Now to get back to quilting ...
