Dance Hamster

 

This one makes me feel like dancing.  A nice reminder for the year ahead for someone having a birthday.

The hamster is stamped onto patterned paper and paperpieced.  Whiskers added with black pen. The EP is Tim Holtz distressed which has a bit of sparkle, perfect for the sentiment.  I used the same ink set that I used for the inside sentiment and made a rainbow border along the bottom of the inner.

Flower Fun

 

It's spring in NZ and people are getting out on their bikes more.  We have lots of cycleways, one that passes us goes from Karapiro to Ngaruawahia = 65kms.  I thought this image expresses the joy and freedom of cycling.

Hello Sunshine

 

I made this for a NZ cardswap; the theme? a trellis card.  I had never made one before but there are great instructions on the net.  It is spring here in NZ and I wanted to reflect that.

I used a Sizzix layered die for the flowers, Joanna Sheen & others for the sprig dies.  The bee die
is a magazine freebie and the sentiment is unbranded.  The splatter is Shimmer mist splattered.  See also the inside.

I love these snarky cats and combined it with a print from my gelli plate experiments.  The trellis is part of a stencil, and the cat is stamped onto a snippet of patterned paper with the head stamped again and popped up on 3D foam.   Oooh I love getting inky.

Fern Bird

 

This is a dutch fold I made for an October cardswap - fold instructions from  beccysplace. She has an amazing selection of card fold tutorials!    I re-discovered this wonderful fern paper in my stash and just had to use it.

CAS Toadstool

 

I have been having fun with these dies, using different colourways to get different effects.  This is CAS.  I used colour Infusions powder for the background which is lovely and twinkly and very subtle, the dies are The Greetery with a little Opal Dust frosting.

Pumpkin Tree

I like to play with arrangements.  This one has lots of separate digital elements to make up the scene.  The houses and pumpkins are coloured with Copics, and the bats & spider have Glossy Accents.  The pumpkins are layered x 3 to stand out.
