Better with Friends

This is such a beautiful spring image of a little girl playing with her bunny on the grass, kinda old fashioned looking.  I love blue and green together.

Masked bottom of panel, blended DI greens, spritzed with water, when dry, masked image, splattered small area with gold ink, sentiment stamped.  Image stamped, coloured with Copics, fussy cut and popped up with 3D foam.

Image: Marianne

Also DI's, Copics, gold ink.

Birthday Floral

This fold is from a tutorial by Lisa Curcio on youtube.    For a special friend.

The Patterned paper, floral oval, and tiny butterflies are from a Kaisercraft pad.  Stitched die and heat embossed sentiment stamps are unknown.  I inked some edges, used a snippet of lacey roll, pearls etc. from stash. The inside uses snippets of the pp and a sentiment on a tag.

Splash Piggy

This piggy image I got from Sparkle'n'Sprinkle (really old), coloured with Copics, stamped with stitching (a magazine freebee), and edged with gold pen.  The background is embossed and splattered with black, bordered with a hand drawn stitchy line.  The sentiment is stamped (Annette Allen Watkins 1995), heat embossed and fussy cut.     White pen highlights.  It has photographed really pale but is more colourful IRL.

Birthday Flowers

This was made to match a cake made and decorated by a friend for her daughter's birthday.

Using an EF, a Kaisercraft bird die, a wreath die (using inked, pearlescent, and dark green card), and numbers die cut from glitter card.  A stamped, stacked sentiment, pearls and soft bow complete the card.

Bunny Hugs

A bit of spring in colour and theme.  Spring is in the air.

I love these cuddling bunnies (Colorado Stamps) coloured with Copics, and fussy cut.  Diecut tab stitched border, diecut stacked sentiment word with vellum shadow.  A touch of Stickles on the flower, a bit of gloss and sparkle in the paper used for the sentiment.

Interactive Hello

I luurrve froggies and had a wonderful chance to use a lot of my dies on this card.  I made this for our NZ cardswap, the theme is an interactive card with a surprise twist.

I searched for something interactive that was new to me and found a great tutorial by Jennifer McGuire: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZESrcpGjEc

This was not my first attempt I must say, but I am pleased with this, my final attempt.  The twist is two hidden frogs - see if you can find them.

The background pinprick panel is MFT.  Circle dies Spellbinders.  PPaper is Papermania (which I have had for years).  I diecut all the bits and then started to construct.  The top-fold base card is sponged on the front with DI's in a random pattern.  I wanted the word to be shiny, so before diecutting I stuck wide clear packing tape onto the card (way easier than painting  GAccents on a large area).  "Croak" is diecut from an alphabet set. Also: DI's, gold pen, black pen, Opal Dust (sparkle on the waterlily flowers).   I also decorated the insert with leftover bits and another hidden frog.

I had already written inside, so for the photograph, I  put a loose bit of paper over to cover what I had written.

Starry Sky

I love to check out the night sky and look for satellites etc.  At the moment the planets are lined up and easy to see.  It is so calming to be out there at night knowing you are a tiny dot in a big universe, and all this happens without you lifting a finger.

I blended the background with Distress Oxide inks, spritzed with water to activate, then splattered with white Distress Stain.  The negative of a diecut is used as a stencil with BoBunny Glitter Paste for the stars.  Stamped the constellations with silver ink. Stamped sentiment.  Stamped the critters, smooshed them with DI's to colour.   They are diecut & stacked.

Lucy Birthday

Yes, we're all about animals at Critter Crazy.  I'm sure you have favourite critters to share.
The design team have lots of inspiration; join us here with yours:  crittercrazychallenge

Lucy's first birthday has a pretty dotty paper background, some animal die cuts that are stacked.  Other diecuts include the banners (which are suspended from the cord, so they are a bit interactive) and the number (which is cut from pearlescent card).  The heart is a drop-out from another die.

Rainbow Butterflies

For a celebration what could be better than a flutter of butterflies in rainbow colours?

Congratulations and cheers! clink! to Pixies Snippets Playground on your 500th challenge,  pixiessnippetsplayground

I diecut the butterflies in black, added to a panel.  Diecut rainbow butterflies from snippets of card - you only need a tiny bit - to add on top! I fingered on a bit of Opal Dust to give them a little sparkle.  The senti and bodies cut from brushed silver card so they weren't too bright.

Die:    MemoryBox

Sentiment die: Poppy Stamps

Also: Sequins, Opal Dust

Bookmark Blues

Inspired by the bookmark the lovely Brenda included with my recent prize.  What a nice surprise it was!

A leftover strip of card,  smooshed with DI's.  Spritzed with shimmer, stencilled with stars and dots (stencil made with a leftover diecut & DOxI's) & stamped.  An irregular top border cut freehand (to keep the kinda weird theme), added hand-drawn borders top & bottom.  White dots and black dots made with pens, some Copic stripes & eyes added to the people.  Gilding flakes to random spots, yarn threads.

Gilded Bicycle

During the week I received this stamp set as a challenge prize from the lovely Brenda at Allsorts (thanks again Brenda!).  I couldn't wait to use it.

I stamped the image twice, once on the card panel and once on spare card to use as a mask.  I spritzed the card with water and splattered with Colour Fusion powders, more spritzing, more powders before removing the mask.  The when it was dry I put 2 in 1 glue on random flower petals and some parts of the background, when dry added gilding flakes (OMG how does anyone control them? I ended up covered in little bits!), rubbing the excess off.  I wanted the stamp to be the hero of the card, so didn't colour anything else.

Stamps:  AALL & CREATE

Also: Colour Fusion powders, Cosmic Shimmer gilding flakes.
