Thinking Sparkle

 

I have a wee collection of paint chips that I use periodically for cards.  Often they are just the right colour for a project.  Here I used the top diecut layer of the lacy panel, and underlaid it with sparkle glitter card.

Wild Garden

 

This is for the November Crafty Chefs recipe:  I managed all except the pearls/gems because I didn't thinks they suited the wild garden; and that's why I used a natural fibre ribbon and the wooden button, which was made by my clever hubby.  I love this pic with those little wild creatures, and those yummy autumn blackberries.

Must have: Mirror card, at least 3 layers, ribbon, an image of garden visitors.

Can have: sparkle/glitter, pearls/gems,  dry emboss.

I (heart) Carl

 Scribbles Designs challenge for October is Feature a Creature.  I chose Carl, a special froggy.

I used my new gelli plate to make the background, swiping inks and brayering etc.  It makes a lovely texture and I got a couple of prints each time.  I added a bit more interest to the background by making twinkles with a sakura clear Stardust pen which, amazingly, I managed to show up in the photo.

Cosy up

 

One of the nice things about some days is that you can just curl up with a book, a drink and a treat, and not worry about anything else.  Indulgent but so restoring.

I haven't sent this to anyone yet (I'm enjoying it myself for a while) so have ticked the boxes yet.  The paper and some elements are from Pixel Scrapper. The books are from Oddball Art.  Also WinkofStella  on the icing of the cookies.  I love the blue and green together.

This fold is called a double point fold, and I can't remember where I got the instructions.

I attached it to a base card so it stands up. 

The diecut labels are edged with gold embossing powder.

Pink is also appropriate for October Breast Cancer Awareness month.
