Hearts of Gold

I find as time goes by that I am tending to work more and more toward CAS cards.

Here is one inspired by  a challenge  at Cupcake Inspirations.

Love Hidden

It's the LOVE season.


I misted and splattered in gold, red and pearl, then diecut the image, stacking it and replacing it in the gap.  I like this very simple card. 
I decided to add dark red sequins to add to the flow. ( I accidentally deleted the full pic with the sequins, and had sent it off before I realized I didn't have a full pic with the sequins).

Microwave bowl cosy 2

Another microwave bowl cosy - this one is for me because it is covered in cherries and matches all the red bits and pieces in my kitchen.

I just googled and it took about an hour and a half from start to finish, not counting choosing the fabrics from my stash!

Hearts'n'flowers

I recently got this stamp ( you might remember my granddaughter had first stamp at it when it arrived) and it is so cute and lovely to colour.  I have three others in this cat series, so you will see them sooner or later.  What a nice way to say I love you.

I embossed the stamping and coloured with Copics.  I love how the soft pink is set off by the green.  The hearts are stamped in pink and clear embossed.

Swoon

I love these mice and they are perfect for a valentine.  I think this one might be for my honey.

I paper pieced their clothes and gently gave them blush bits with coloured pencil...  after all they are white mice.

Birds Heart Love

Such a lovely delicate heart within an embossed heart.

The background is embossed then misted with a few mist colours (red, gold and pearl) and anchored with splatters, gold washi tape and cord.

Firstly I printed the image onto patterned paper, cut it out and put in shadows with Copics.  I also added shine to their eyes with a pigment pen.  I chose the background papers for sea/sky look.  Then added some torn paper layers to mimic water, a few clouds, DI edging and a sentiment I made on the computer.

Awesome Chick

Humour is the theme at the Crafters Café this time.  Be sure to check out the inspiration from the design team and enter your work here: crafterscafe

This fabulous image is provided by Eureka.  Its called Bunch of Chicks (I have enlarged it and only used part of the image), find it here:  eureka-stamps

I like this image especially when you can have a bit of fun with it.

I printed on white cardstock, on printer paper and a small patch on patterned paper.  The printer paper I cut out and used as a mask to colour the chicks (negative mask), then used the positive mask for the sky and ground.  Because I used Distress inks, I also spritzed with water for a dappled effect, and coloured the combs and beaks with Copics.  I cut out the plaid chick and used 3D foam to adhere. The sentiment is heat embossed sky blue because I didn't want it to take over the picture.

Microwave bowl cosy

Some of my quilty friends have been making these fabric bowls for use in the microwave.  Because they are 100% cotton you can heat them and lift things in and out of the MW as well as use them to hold a hot bowl while eating.  The pointy bits are like handles.

This is made from   12" squares of fabric.  It was easier than I thought it would be.

I got the instructions by googling microwave bowl cosy.  There are several versions.  I reckon they'd make lovely gifts maybe with a dish of something in it.

Love House

This is the house filled with love.  Behind the windows and door is silver mirror card.

While I had this in mind for a new home, I reckon you could use this for valentines or just for a love card.  I love the colours.  It features my new die of this cute house, I had to find a way to use it immediately.

A monster birthday, what we all want, right?
Hehehe,  not this one though, who's likely to take a bite out of you as well as the cake.

Dragon

The cake comes with it's own lighter, and I was tempted to make the cake black!  Actually it would probably be a pile of ash!

The dragon is paper pieced in a crackle type paper (which unfortunately doesn't show) and shaded with Copics.
