A Christmas CAS card.
I embossed around the edge with a ball tool to make a frame.  The diecuts are made using thick pearly green card which made a nice crisp cut. Some gold cord and gems added.

I inked the travel EF with Broken China Distress Ink and letterpressed it.  I decided not to use the full image and make it a selfie style photo op.  Layered up the film, tickets and stamped sentiment, bordered with gold pen.  I hand wrote the selfie sentiment.

The paper is printed on the computer; the deer, tree, bird & oval diecut, and dark blue card embossed.  Snippets of card for the deer and bird.  The deer is shaded with pencil, the trees are painted with Wink of Stella for shimmer.  A strip of vellum to lay the oval sentiment on.

The Miss You Tree

Gather at the MissYou tree.  I made this after receiving a lovely handmade card from one of our granddaughters.  It arrived on a day I was feeling a little blue.   Rhiannon is 10, a crafter from way back, she sewed her first cushion at four (I thought her mother had made it) and loves cardmaking.

Better Soon

I always have a stock of get well cards in my box ready to go.  When people get sick/hurt you often don't get any warning, and they do like to know someone is thinking of them.  I think these gentle autumn colours are healing too.

I made the background with distress inks and stamped silhouettes over in black.  The sentiment is heat embossed gold.

Hoppy Day

Such a gentle image,  placed among the dandelions.  I made the card general in that it could be used for a child, anniversary or engagement/wedding, birthday, iloveyou, or thinking of you.

Hippity Hop

This cute little HouseMouse stamp set just arrived in the mail and of course I had to try it out.  It wasn't until I started colouring the flowers I realised what  a funny stamp it was - it really made me laugh out loud.

I masked the bunnies and corner,  coloured the background with Distress Inks.  Only the flowers and stalks are coloured with Copics.

I chose to do BOTH choices.  I arranged the elements digitally, put the green grunge paper behind, then printed.  I stencilled barbed wire at top and bottom, added Glossy Accents to the lanterns, and tied a tiny bottle (with a little silver paint in it) around the matted card.   Muslin is distressed and stuck to the base card, then the top glued on.  But … be very afraid of what is inside ...

A'buzzin'

The bee paper was my inspiration for the card theme and the plaid for the colour.
I distressed the edges of the grey paper and stencilled bees in black.  The papers are layered with a little strip of diecut lace to highlight the colour, then a diecut honeycomb placed before adhering the bee strip.  While I was working on it, some of the fall-out bits from the die fell on the card - which I liked - so I decided to keep them as embellishment; they are popped up on foam.

Star triangle box

Something to put a sweet treat in to give away.


I got the pattern for this from a make'n'take a few years ago at Hastings Rubber Stamps popup shop, and it has come in very handy, and is easy to make.  Over time I have made them for Christmas, thank you, get well etc.  A paper strip on the inside fold-down front is for a message.

It's also great for using up those snippets of card and paper, and other stash stuff, maybe ribbon etc.  It forms a triangle when closed, and has a magnetic closer.

A not-so-normal farmyard scene.  I set out to use vellum and a new cloud die and it all went haywire from there...   I had to discard the first one, that's why this is Scene 1 take 2.

Being catty

Have you ever noticed how cats gaze intently at something that gets their attention - like a dripping tap - to the exclusion of all else. Well, this one got a butterfly.
I paperpieced the cat and butterfly, then used washi with gold for a bit of glam.
